Welcome to the Tenth Season of the Louisville Master Chorale!

This is what we fervently hope will be a unique season, in this time of pandemic.  We can’t do what we’ve done for 9 seasons, but we plan to return to it  as soon as it is possible. In the meantime, we want to stay in touch with you, continuing to bring you beautiful music and interesting commentary on it.  We’ll have to do it differently, of course, since it would not be safe for our chorus to rehearse nor for our audience to gather to enjoy the fruits of their labors.

Instead, we will bring you a series of virtual chamber performances, favorite works as well as encores from our first 9 seasons by soloists and instrumentalists you will remember, recorded in beautiful surroundings.  These events will be embellished by the program notes by Dr. Millard Dunn and the pre-concert lectures by Dr. John Hale which have come to distinguish our events.

Knowing what to do in such an unprecedented and difficult time is not easy.  So many things we have been able to take for granted are suddenly not possible.  We offer these special Covid-time programs as we look forward to the time that we will once again be able to gather to experience our extraordinary heritage of choral and orchestral music!

Note Concert Schedule Update

For various reasons we have had to make changes to the last three performances.

The schedule is now:

February 21: Jack Griffin & Mark Walker/ Brahms Sonata

March 28: Dylon Crain/Handel and Vaughan Williams

April 25: Jasmine Davis/Mozart & Puccini

Thank you, as always, for your patronage and support. We are eager to get back together in person, and in force, to present the great choral/orchestral masterworks of the centuries.
